Presentation 1:
Ignacio Despujol, Open edX TOC Member and MOOC Coordinator at the Universitat Politècnica de València, and Juan Camilo Montoya, Co-Founder of eduNEXT, will present the results of a transformative initiative involving six public universities in Madrid and the Universitat Politècnica de València, part of the national UniDigital project. Funded by Spain’s Ministry of Universities and the EU’s Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, this project has invested over half a million euros to enhance the Open edX LMS for on-campus use.
In partnership with eduNEXT, this initiative has worked closely with the Open edX community to integrate significant enhancements into future platform versions. These include real-time analytics, advanced dashboards, customized feedback systems, enhanced exams, and tasks, extended grading options, improved user interfaces, expanded email functionalities, H5P content integration, mind map tools, a student risk detection system, and advanced voice assistants. These improvements are poised to transform the Open edX LMS from a MOOC platform into a comprehensive Learning Management System, ideal for online and campus-based education.
