How to load solid components in component list like sulfur, calcium hydroxide, calcium sulfate and etc. using pcd manager ??

The PCD manager is part of ChemSep. TEA uses the PCD format as defined by ChemSep as well as ChemSep's default component definition file.

Support for solids is an extension of TEA; this is not functionality that ChemSep supports. However, the ChemSep authors did allow for editing of solid-only compounds in the PCD manager.

The only thing that differentiates a solid-only compound from any other compound is that the family is set to "SOLID ONLY". In TEA this means as much that the compound may only appear in the solid phase (TEA's solids implementation is really simple, see here for details:

Are there any particular difficulties you are experiencing when attemping to load or create solid-only compounds in the PCD manager?

Yes it does show TEA CalcProp error on adding solid components from the components list in COFE. What should I do?

Can you describe more accurately which error you are seeing and how you have configured your property package?

On using simple absorber unit,on giving calculate unit command it shows a warning called ' Fuller diffusion volume estimated' and after which an error comes on screen called 'failed to calculate the unit'. What should I do??

If it is a Chemsep distillation column you are calculating (which you did not mention, but this is what I am guessing from the message about the diffusion volume): this is a unit operation that is unable to deal with solids. It will not succeed if a solid phase results from a flash calculation. Which is not surprising for a distillation column, they typically do not contain solids.

If indeed this is the Chemsep column, you can read the full reason for the solution failure in its calculation report.

But the long and the short of it is, make sure that no solids are entering the distillation column. You can use for example a solids separator before the feed of the distillation column to remove the solids from the feed.

I am using ChemSep Unit Operation [simple absorber]. In this operation it gives the above mentioned error. Can we use solids in this simple absorber??

No - I do not believe so.

The Fixed Conversion Reactor will do so.

You can also make a custom reactor that performs the reactions you have in mind. Here are some options:
