error in calculating a pump

In my process flowsheet, when i try calculating a pump, this is the error message it shows:

"Pump: The following properties are not supported by the material connected to port Inlet: volume; please modify the material object configuration to include these properties"

what could this possibly mean??

This likely implies the property package that you are using for this material type does not expose the property 'volume'.

Which thermodynamics are you using? TEA? By default, volume is configured for TEA property packages.
